Today I made cabbage delicious in under 20 minutes.
Simple food, FTW.
So, cook this. It’s dirt cheap, fast, and delicious.
Sloppily chop up some plain old cabbage and throw it in a pan with butter, sesame oil, and onions. Cook it till it softens but don’t make it all wilty cuz that’s gross.
Cook some sticky white rice with about a 1/4 cup more water than you need. Cook it until it looks like porridge and the grains are soft and smooshable.
Mix it all together and top with the standard salt and pepper and a generous portion of crushed sesame seeds.
It is way more amazing that you could ever expect it to be.
And I call it Humble Monday. The perfect vengeance for the hungry Irish in me.
